IN A RECENT EDITION OF THE MOUTHCAST (RECORDED DURING HER HEADLINING STINT AT OUR AUTUMN SPECIAL CONCERT IN NOVEMBER), RACHEL SERMANNI PERFORMED A PAIR OF NEW SONGS WHICH ARE TO FEATURE ON HER FORTHCOMING ALBUM, AND THEN TALKED ABOUT THEM IN INTERVIEW (listen again, here).

Rachel’s second full studio album – called TIED TO THE MOON and featuring an evocative cover shot by photographer Jason Williamson – will be released next February. Produced with Colin Macleod in his studio on the Isle of Lewis, ten track TIED TO THE MOON features Louis Linklater Abbott on drums, Gordon Skene on bass and cello and Jennifer Austin on piano, organ, fiddle and vocals. It follows this October’s cheerful concert souvenir LIVE IN DAWSON CITY, recorded during a 2013 Canadian tour.
A highlight of Rachel’s Yukon show was the lilting romance of previously unreleased song TO WAIT TO WIT TO WOO. This week she has told us it will not feature on TIED TO THE MOON; so we’re particularly delighted that – just after her soundcheck at our Autumn Special concert back in November, and accompanied by the wonderful Jen Austin on piano – Rachel performed it in an exclusive session for us… There is magic happening here…
