RACHEL SERMANNI

THIS NEW EDITION OF THE MOUTHCAST FEATURES HIGHLIGHTS OF OUR AUTUMN SPECIAL CONCERT ALONGSIDE A NEW INTERVIEW WITH HEADLINER RACHEL SERMANNI.
side of the stageThe Mouth Magazine Autumn Special, held at the Café Indiependent in Scunthorpe, was a lovely event – intimate, warm and good-natured. Even hire car problems earlier in the day for Rachel’s touring party and a rather unique improvised backdrop became happy parts of the evening, referred to by Rachel in some of her between song banter…
Highlights here include TWO BIRDS, EVERYTHING CHANGES, IN THE HOLLOW, THE FOG and SONG TO A FOX alongside a cover version of Adam Holmes’ MOTHER OAK. Two brand new Rachel Sermanni songs – which appear to be called SWEET WINE and THE TRACTOR SONG – also feature in this new edition of The Mouthcast, and she discusses them at length. Both are likely to figure on her new album which, Rachel reveals, will be finished during the next few weeks and is almost certain to be released around February next year.

A ‘bonus track’ can be heard at the end;
Colin MacLeod performs Bruce Springsteen’s DANCING IN THE DARK during his ‘step in’ slot
(Miss Irenie Rose, the advertised support, couldn’t make the show).
