BELLE AND SEBASTIAN: new album, new video

A VIDEO FOR NOBODY’S EMPIRE – THE OPENING TRACK FROM BELLE AND SEBASTIAN’S FORTHCOMING NINTH FULL STUDIO ALBUM – HAS BEEN RELEASED.
Directed by Blair Young and Stuart Murdoch, the video combines footage from the band’s album cover shoot in Glasgow along with over one hundred clips received from fans. It also features some wonderful archival clips from the Scottish Screen Archive at the National Library Of Scotland and the Prelinger Archives.
The CD edition of GIRLS IN PEACETIME WANT TO DANCE (Belle And Sebastian’s first new material since 2010 album WRITE ABOUT LOVE) is released on January 19th / 20th and features twelve tracks; NOBODY’S EMPIRE, ALLIE, THE PARTY LINE, THE POWER OF THREE, THE CAT WITH THE CREAM, ENTER SYLVIA PLATH, THE EVERLASTING MUSE, PERFECT COUPLES, PLAY FOR TODAY, THE BOOK OF YOU, TODAY (THIS ARMY’S FOR PEACE) and EVERY HAD A LITTLE FAITH?
bandsGIRLS IN PEACETIME WANT TO DANCE will also be available on double 12″ vinyl, or as a 4xLP set (in a lidded box with a download voucher and a poster). The box set format features two extended mixes and four additional bonus tracks, two of which are exclusive to it. The iTunes digital edition of the album features two bonus tracks; A POLITICIAN’S SILENCE and PIGGY IN THE MIDDLE.
