SAMARIS : new single & uk gig

ICELANDIC ELECTRO-CHILL TRIO SAMARIS RELEASE THEIR NEW SINGLE ON 7TH OCTOBER.
Viltu VitrastVILTU VITRAST retells an Icelandic folk tale about villages who ask for help from a supernatural being, but worry it will choose not to manifest its power.
The mesmerising Samaris effect is much in evidence, with 19th century poetry, electronica, clarinet and vocals creating what sometimes feels like an ethereal new folk music; familiar yet unknown, ancient and modern, organic but alien, glacial, textured, intimate.
Making a rare UK appearance, Samaris play the Ja Ja Ja night at The Lexington, London, on Thursday 26th September alongside Norway’s Eye Emma Jedi and Finland’s Satellite Stories with sets from Project Fresh Socks DJs.
