WITH CELEBRATORY GITANES LIT LIKE OLYMPIAN TORCHES, AND COLLAR-AND-TIE LOOSENED AT THE SLIGHTLY ASKEW ANGLE REQUISITE FOR THESE SORTS OF A DO, WE’RE VERY PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THE BIRTH OF THE MOUTH MAGAZINE.
It’s an e-place for opinion writing on any aspect of what we knowingly call arts and entertainment and, occasionally, other areas: sports, politics, culture, history… That’s the idea, anyway. But who knows where we might end up or who we’ll meet along the way – but as we set off, there’s no agenda other than interesting writing on interesting things.
As time passes and The Mouth Magazine develops, we’ll be adding a Forum, some Archived Content and other ideas we can’t tell you about at this stage. But in the here and now, at this modest virtual launch party to cobble all modest virtual launch parties, we really hope you’ll be kind enough to join us as we sling back a long cool one, and hit the dance-floor to throw some shapes. Right now you can do this by bookmarking us and checking back regularly, or by following us using the ‘follow’ pop-up button. You can also download our series of regular Mouthcasts – we’ll provide download links, and also embed a player for each one so you can listen directly off this site if you don’t want to do the d / l thing. But may we also be bold enough to suggest that you might want to contribute something to The Mouth Magazine yourself? Thank you very much, don’t mind if we do. You can get in touch by visiting the Contact page, or by emailing us at themouthmagazine@rocketmail.com
If you find yourself knocking at our door, we will answer. We will let you in. And, of course, please let us know what you think – and do let others know we’re here. Sharing buttons are dotted along the bottom of each post on the site. Go on – press one. It’s not the world economy reset button, nothing could possibly go wrong.
Now… let’s wet the baby’s head. Charge and raise your glasses, and off we go. Cheers!
