WE’RE INTO THE FINAL DAY OF THE EXCELLENT GALTRES FESTIVAL HERE AT CRAYKE IN NORTH YORKSHIRE.
Expect a lively podcast within the next couple of days, rounding up the thrills and spills of the whole weekend – including interviews with Billy Bragg, Fyfe Dangerfield (Guillemots), Mark Morris (The Bluetones), Martin Stephenson, Fossil Collective, and the one-and-only – and cordially refreshed – Steve Diggle of Buzzcocks (left), amongst others.
There’ll also be a couple of exclusive live performances – including an absolute gem of intimately crafted songwriting from the very lovely Victoria Hume – plus a photo gallery bringing you a flavour of this perfect-sized event.
But, for now, saddened by the news of historical giant and Mouth Magazine favourite Neil Armstrong’s final steps, we’re off to raise a couple of glasses of locally produced beer in his honour, and take in sets from, amongst others, Adam Ant. Fairly sure that’s what he would have wanted…
