BJÖRK : new york exhibition

THE MUSEUM OF MODERN ART IN NEW YORK HAS ANNOUNCED THAT A RETROSPECTIVE EXHIBITION FOCUSING ON BJÖRK AND HER MULTIFACETED CAREER WILL OPEN FOR THREE MONTHS, FROM MARCH NEXT YEAR.

BJORK POSTThe exhibition – titled simply BJÖRK – is brainchild of curator-at-large Klaus Biesenbach, and will open on Saturday 7th March 2015, remaining on display until Sunday 7th June. Incorporated into the exhibition will be elements spanning Björk’s two decade solo career; costumes, performances, instruments and more. The exhibition will also highlight her artistic collaborators over those 20 years. Working with longtime ally Sjón, the Icelander has written a narrative thread which ties together her work in a way never seen before – and includes a specially created audio / visual piece by Björk, Andrew Huang and Autodesk.
