CHERRY GHOST : new album

FOLLOWING 2013’S INVASION OF LOVE BY BOLTON SONGWRITER SIMON ALDRED’S ELECTRO-SOUL PROJECT OUT COLD, HIS MORE TRADITIONAL BAND ARE SET TO RELEASE THEIR NEW ALBUM.

Cherry Ghost’s HERD RUNNERS will be issued by Heavenly on 12th May. Recorded in Sheffield with long-time Richard Hawley collaborator Colin Elliot, mixed in Bath with Dan Austin, ten track HERD RUNNERS shifts from the lock-in blues of DRINKING FOR TWO to the soaring symphonic pop of single CLEAR SKIES EVER CLOSER (video directed by and starring Maxine Peake), via the uncompromisingly hopeful rhythmic shuffle of THE WORLD COULD TURN. Cherry Ghost’s new album follows 2007 debut THIRST FOR ROMANCE (featuring Ivor Novello award-winning PEOPLE HELP THE PEOPLE) and the beautifully melancholic BENEATH THIS BURNING SHORELINE, released in 2010.
