MARK MORRISS – FORMER FRONTMAN OF THE BLUETONES – IS ABOUT TO UNLEASH A FLASH OF DARKNESS ON A WIDER AUDIENCE, AFTER SIGNING TO ACID JAZZ RECORDS.
His eleven track second solo album had limited release during 2013 following a Pledge Music campaign. Morriss, who toured as part of new label-mate Matt Berry’s band during the summer, signed with Acid Jazz at the end of July. In December, the label issued first fruit of the new working relationship – an 8-track EP featuring one of the standout songs from the album alongside themes recorded for audio versions of children’s books written by David Walliams.
