A NEW THREE DISC RETROSPECTIVE OF THE WOODENTOPS’ ENTIRE CAREER – BEFORE, DURING, AFTER – IS ISSUED BY ONE LITTLE INDIAN TOMORROW.
The set covers 1984 debut single PLENTY, continues through to final release TAINTED WORLD (1991) and covers all points between – including remastered versions of the band’s two studio albums, GIANT (1986) and WOODEN FOOT COPS ON THE HIGHWAY (1988). In an entertaining second part of the short series of special editions of The Mouthcast focused around the new release, frontman Rolo McGinty reminisces about the band’s ill-fated tour in support of The Smiths, recalls almost joining Julian Cope in The Teardrop Explodes, and reveals how he was asked to audition for Adam & The Ants.
