Bryter LayterIN NOVEMBER 2014 IT WILL BE FORTY YEARS SINCE THE PASSING OF NICK DRAKE. UNSUCCESSFUL DURING HIS OWN LIFETIME, THE DECADES SINCE HIS DEATH – AGE 26 – HAVE SEEN RECOGNITION OF HIS EXTRAORDINARY TALENT GRADUALLY WIDEN.
In the first part of this double edition of The Mouthcast (listen here) Joe Boyd – producer of Drake’s first two records FIVE LEAVES LEFT and BRYTER LAYTER  – discussed the recent tribute project WAY TO BLUE. 
In this second part (listen below) he offers further observations of Drake’s character.
Also featured is a conversation with Cally, manager of Bryter Music, the company set up by Drake’s sister Gabrielle to handle his posthumous business affairs. Cally discusses Drake’s legend and music, and this week’s vinyl reissue of 1970 album BRYTER LAYTER.
